Book - Pierre Koenig: 1925-2005: Living with Steel

The TASCHEN series of architecture books are among my favorite, for how they capture the essence of the architects they feature.

Koenig so appeals to me, for his purity of lines, the unadorned planes of glass and steel, and how light and air can flow through the spaces, uninterrupted.

This book is a steal at $10 at Amazon. Buy it.

Book - Small City Houses

Small City Houses - a must read for anyone who is looking to downsize, or looking to build on limited lot size.

Proof that livability doesn't have to be secondary to space.

Features residences in Japan, Netherlands, Germany, USA, and more. Incredibly intuitive use of space, dual-purposing, passive daylighting, and solid green building tenets.

On sale at Amazon for under $12.
